The American Institute of Architects, South Dakota Chapter, recently invited Rangel Construction president Mario Rangel to make a presentation on the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help project in Rapid City.

The presentation, which took place on July 18 in the Cathedral’s recently constructed St. Joseph Hall, was part of an AIA event called Design in the Hills. Design professionals from throughout South Dakota heard Mr. Rangel speak on unique facts and challenges of the Cathedral job, including the relocation of the Baptistry and the building of the St. Joseph Hall. The talk included details of the coordination among the design professionals, engineers, and construction workers. Following the talk, the Rangel team, including superintendent Josh Button, led the architects on a tour of the Cathedral and the project site.
