Commercial General Contracting – the traditional process

In general contracting, our company is responsible for all construction phases, and works with the owner/architect to build the project at hand.  Such a commitment requires financial stability, professionalism, experience, coordination, safety, and craftsmanship.  As this list portrays, being an excellent commercial general contractor is no small task!  We embrace this responsibility, and hold fast to great care for the people that we serve, collaborate with, organize, and direct as a general contractor.

Design-Build Process – the process for artisans and craftsmen

The design-build process by Rangel Construction simplifies the overall construction process for the owner.  Rather than having to work with multiple companies to plan, design, and construct a project, Rangel Construction leads the entire effort, thus giving the owner the convenience of working with only one company (and one, very dedicated, project manager.) A great majority of commercial construction projects are an excellent fit for design-build by Rangel Construction, and we love the opportunity to undertake them.  Why?  This process allows for great relationship building, and it opens the door for unparalleled creativity, collaboration, and efficiency.  Design-build requires craftsmanship, starting with how we understand your needs, and ending with a beautifully constructed project.

Commercial Construction Management – the BIG process

What is the benefit of working with the Rangel Construction team as Construction Managers rather than simply hiring us as your general contractor or design-builder?  Large scale projects benefit most from the construction management process, and a team approach is taken involving owner, architect, consultants, and Rangel Construction.  With the commercial construction management process, the early stages of project planning involve all the team members, rather than a limited group of only the owner and designers.  Rangel Construction collaborates with the owner, architect, and consultants through the planning and design phases of a project, providing updated estimates of total project cost, as well as outlines of overall schedule and construction sequencing.  Upon completion of the planning and design phase, Rangel Construction will bid out all components/phases of work and present the results to the owner for review and overall budget analysis.  This is a great technical approach to a large project, and Rangel Construction brings to it enthusiastically dedicated project managers/estimators and very experienced jobsite superintendents.

Commercial Construction Consultation – the investigation process

No matter the type or size of construction project (remodeling, new, etc.), it is wise and prudent for you to educate yourself from the outset on all your possible options and/or limitations. With our skill and expertise, Rangel Construction can help to provide insightful preliminary cost estimates during the important infancy stages of your project.  Our many years of building industry relationships can help put you in touch with the professionals that will be needed for your plan.  We have a love for design and craftsmanship, and we can assist with initial design and/or layout ideas.  Our history in the commercial construction industry dates back to 1980, and we can share with you lessons learned from numerous past projects.
