Project Summary
This project was a full-scale renovation and remodel of the Hampton Inn Golden Hills Lodge in the mountain town of Lead, SD. The work of the project consisted of structural repairs including floor slab replacement and steel framing modifications, complete replacement of exterior envelope system, including new insulation, gyp board, roofing, windows, EIFS, stone & tiling, all new interior construction, finishes, and furnishings, new fire sprinkler, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, and site improvements including new asphalt, retaining walls, decorative concrete pavement, site utilities, and landscaping. This project was performed during extreme winter conditions that are typical to the area. The entire edifice was scaffolded and covered, with working heights up to six stories. The completed building is now one of the most impressive structural landmarks in Lead.
