Project Summary
The work of this project was performed at the Moose Administrative Office Building in the Grand Teton National Park of Wyoming. The US National Park Service issued a nation-wide request for proposals, and Rangel Construction Company was selected in the summer of 2021 based upon multiple years of successful past performance on National Park Service projects, as well as overall best value. The purpose of this project was the renovation and replacement of nearly 55,000 sq ft of roofing system, as well as all other work associated with mitigating water leaks within the building. This included demolition of the existing roofing materials and system down to the existing structural metal deck, structural modifications, insulation, asphalt shingle roofing, PVC Membrane roofing, and selective demolition. Also included was the replacement of windows, providing new wall & soffit construction, and repair work associated with sealing exterior walls at roof intersections. Rangel Construction performed all of this work successfully, while the building remained occupied by 200+ government staff members, over the course of two building phases in the summer and fall of 2021 and 2022.
